Model 2430P PCI 32Mbit Bit Synchronizer

The 2430P is a rack-mountable, single or dual stream PCM bit synchronization system that provides maximum performance in minimum space. Built in a compact 3.5 inch chassis, the Model 2430P comes in configurations containing one or two Acroamatics 1601P Bit Synchronizer cards that operate at up to 32Mbps. Available options include: Viterbi decoding and Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT) and Frame synchronizer. In addition to standard codes, the uniquely flexible architecture of the Model 2430P allows Acroamatics to provide additional code processing on special order. Equipped with a built-in 6.2" TFT LCD display, the Model 2430P provides convenient front panel setup, and display of both parameters and status. Remote monitoring and programming capability is available via serial and Ethernet interfaces. An embedded processor provides nonvolatile memory storage for setup programs. Acroamatics supplies a Windows compatible graphical user interface for use with the serial and Ethernet remote control interfaces.

Model 1601P 32Mbps PCM Bit Synchronizer

The card contains four selectable inputs, and programmable filtering for optimum data recovery. Sophisticated phase-lock-loop (PLL) circuitry synchronizes a clock to the incoming signal to extract digital data from the PCM input. This circuitry produces NRZ-L Data and Clock outputs for use by your PCM format decommutator or similar equipment. The programmability of both the PLL and the input filters allows the optimization of the bit synchronizer performance in high-noise environments. The BSYN is tunable from 8bps to 32Mbps (NRZ codes) and provides encoded PCM output for analog tape recording. The on-card processor provides status of input amplitude, offset, and synchronization to the host interface. The 1601P can host an Acroamatics 472M Mezzanine Bit Synchronizer, providing two bit synchronizers in a single PCI slot.

Model 501V PCM Bit Synchronizer
Provides complete bit synchronization capabilities. Offers tunable input data rates of 8Hz to 32MHz for NRZ codes and 8 Hz to 16 MHz for all others. Viterbi encoder/decoder optional. Tuning resolution is 0.1% of input data rate and bit error performance within 1Db of theoretical.

Model 517V CPU W/Parallel Setup Bus
The 517VA is the CPU in the Acroamatics Model 2430V VMEbus Bit Synchronizer. The card automatically initializes all BSYN (501V single-card bit synchronizer) cards in a 2430V VBS chassis. The 517V processes entries from the front panel keypad or the remote interfaces (RS-232,  Parallel Bus) to set up the bit synchronizer card(s). The 517V contains 2MB of DRAM. The card also provides flash memory to store up to twenty setup programs for repeated use.

Model 472M Bit Sync Mezzanine
Features tunable data rates from 8 Hz to 32MHz for NRZ codes and 8Hz to 16MHz for all others. The 472 processes all IRIG standard and randomized codes and has a bit error performance within 1dB of theoretical.

System Software

 

With optional equipment, the standard Bit Sync GUI can program the 2430V over a network. The same GUI can also program 1601P and 501V cards that may reside in a TDP or an Acroamatics 2440 Multi Bit Sync Chassis.
